*** Most of my EAs or manual trades are based on my own Indicators ***
We know how an high impact News can affect Forex market. Does your EA is made to run under news, or it must avoid them?
I
would say that any EA you can build yourself, or purchase can work and
be profitable. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that an EA is
an algorithm that is supposed to work on specific market conditions.
Let's take an example:
- If an EA works well on a range market, then if the pair is in a strong bullish or bearish trend, you better not run this EA on this pair.
- In opposite, if your EA does perform well on breakouts and market is just ranging at the moment, then EA will produce a lot of loser trades as market just does false breakouts.
You
can't run any EA 100% of the time. An EA must be smart enough to
analyse market conditions and be allowed to trade only if it matches
with your strategy. This is why all my EAs are based on the 2 following
Indicators.
*** FxCalendar Indicator ***
This Indicator alerts in realtime the next news to come and the last one that happened. Let's take an example:
*** Currency Strength Analyser (CSA) Indicator ***
CSA sorts Asset from the strongest to the weakest in realtime. The Total provides useful indication about global market conditions:
- < 40, market is really quiet
- >40 & <60, market is in "normal" activity
- >60, global market is trendy, a news could have been released.
- >100, an high impact news was released 1 hour ago or so and it has affected the whole market very strongly.

Just got Asset Indicator having trialed it in October. Fantastic indicator that takes the hard work out of looking through every chart and reinforces your own thoughts in conjunction with other indicators. Well worth the money. Will be looking to buy others from George but am still very new to Forex so need to learn more before getting too deep into too many indicators. Getting there though. Thank you George.
